Signed 1923 Sydney E. Wilson "The Blue Boy" Mezzotint - Gainsborough
This is a beautiful and rare 1923 mezzotint of the famous "The Blue Boy" by Thomas Gainsborough. It was created by the master engraver Sydney E. Wilson and is hand-signed by him in pencil, which is a lovely touch for any collector. You can also see the official Fine Art Trade Guild stamp in the corner, proving it’s a genuine, century-old piece of craftsmanship.
It’s a great size at 51.5 cm x 67 cm and comes in a classic vintage heavy frame that would look fantastic on any wall in the house.
The frame has some minor losses, but these add to the character of the piece.
