Sheraton Revival Large Mahogany Tea Caddy(Circa 1850)

Sheraton Revival Large Mahogany Tea Caddy(Circa 1850) Sheraton Revival Large Mahogany Tea Caddy(Circa 1850) Other Antiques & Collectables

Here is a superb example of a sheraton revival mahogany tea caddy..with top inlay and inner compartments..The hinges on the piece were made by John Nettlewood & sons..He formed his company in 1824 and I estimate this lovely piece to have been made in circa 1850..It was made in the style of John Sheraton from 80-100 years earlier..hence the use of the word revival. The box measures 16x9x8 inches and has beautifully crafted dowelled corners. It also has two pull out drawers, over which a top lifting drawer sits..The box is in lovely solid condition for it's age(a little evidence of very early worm that was dealt with over 100 years ago)..I don't have a key to hand at present for the box..It is a great size and perfect for jewellery, crafting storage etc..Registered post is available for an additional five euro. Thanks for looking please check out my other ads.
