For sale is an attractive souvenir/tourism badge issued for Shanklin on the Isle of Wight. The badge shows the pre-1935 crest of the isle of Wight with the wording SHANKLIN.

Shanklin continues to be a popular and scenic seaside resort town. Its beaches and the Old Shanklin Village are special attractions of the area that continue to draw the visitors in each year.

DESCRIPTION:
Size: about 1 3/16" x 1 3/16" (30mm x 30mm).
Material(s): brass metal with 3 vitreous enamels. Flowers hand-painted in white enamel paint & finished with touches of yellow enamel paint.
Finish: gilt.
Fitting: pin.
Imprint: none.
Approximate age: 1910's to 1920's.
