Set of 3 Vintage Old Belfast Prints - Pottinger's Entry, High Street, Old Theatre

Three vintage prints of old Belfast from the same series. All three are printed "Marcotype Process" and initialled "M.S.O.B.", and all are delicately tinted.

"Pottinger's Entry, Belfast, 1790": bustling life in the famous entry between Ann Street and High Street. Frame approx. 23 x 31cm (portrait).

"High Street, Belfast, 1840": tall masted ships moored at the foot of High Street, with carts and carriages along the street. Frame approx. 31 x 24cm.

"Old Theatre, Arthur Square, Belfast. Built by lessee, Michael Atkins. Opened 26th February, 1793. Last performance 13th March, 1871": Belfast's first large theatre, before it became the Theatre Royal. Frame approx. 31 x 24cm.

Pottinger's Entry and the Old Theatre are in matching period frames, both with the label of St. Anne's Art Gallery (W.J. Irvine), Belfast. High Street is in a modern black aluminium frame.

Condition: frames and glass sound. All three prints have toned with age, and the two older frames have wear to the backing papers.
