SELPAR International Folk Dance Group - a vintage membership enamel badge (early 1970's)
Postage is extra.
.
For sale is a small and attractive membership badge of the Selpar International Folk Dance Group. Selpar are still active and have groups across England.
Selpar was established 1973 in Birmingham by Sybil Chapman and its name is derived from the first three letters of SELly PARk school, where the group originally met to hold their dance meetings. Selpar performs folk dance from countries across Europe, Russia and elsewhere in full traditional costume.
Selpar is affiliated to The Society for International Folk Dancing.
This badge actually looks far better in the hand, photos don't do it justice. A difficult badge to photograph clearly.
