For sale is an enamel badge awarded to commercial transport or public service vehicle drivers for a minimum period of 5 years of continuous accident-free driving.

ROSCo (Road Operators Safety Council) was established in 1955 to heighten awareness and improve standards of road safety amongst road transport companies and their employees. To promote their aims, ROSCO inaugurated the Safe Driving Award schemes and these have continued in operation since 1955. The National Safety First Association preceded ROSCO and carried out similar functions to them. ROSCO also sponsors other national safe-driving awards such as the ‘Bus Driver of the Year’ and the ‘UK Coach Awards’. ROSCO became a registered charity in 2011 (number 1140150).

Membership of ROSCO is open to road transport companies and their employees. Entry level for the Safe Driving awards start from five years of continuous accident-free driving and may continue for up to 45 years, in increments of 5 years per award. Awards include a specially presented certificate and this would be accompanied by a badge or a medal, depending on the level of award. Over the years, the award medals and their annual bars were replaced by badges.
