This item is a rare (couldnt find identical 1 online)clear glass cigarette, keepsakes or Trinket Box featuring the distinctive Candlewick pattern, which was originally manufactured by Imperial Glass Operation.
This specific variant is highly unique & Collectible because it has been converted into a styled as hinged Vanity casket, complete with a custom metal trim & border.
The signature "beaded" or "boopie" glass along the bottom edge and upper lid belongs to the famous Imperial Glass Candlewick pattern line which was highly popular during the Mid-century modern era.
These rectangular glass pieces were originally sold as covered table items frequently utilised as Imperial Glass Cigarette boxes or Vanity Trinket trays.
While standard Candlewick item feature an all glass lift off lid, this specific piece incorporates a metal framework along the edges, mimicking the style of antique French bevelved glas jewelry caskets.
