Rare Antique Royal Doulton The Potter
Rare early Royal Doulton figure titled "The Potter" model number HN1578. Rare green colour. Designed by Charles Noke and issued between 1932 and 1948. This copy is date marked 8 for 1935. H17cm.
Some minor impact cracks to underside which don't carry through and is reflected in price, otherwise in very good condition for its 90 years.
YOU WILL NO DOUBT BE AWARE THAT THERE ARE LATER VERSIONS OF THIS FIGURE SELLING FOR SIMILAR OR HIGHER PRICES. THESE HAVE DIFFERENT COLOURINGS AND HAVE A SMALLER FLAT BASE, SEE MATTHEWS AUCTIONEERS 26.8.25.
