This Item is a stunning Indonesian Batic Textile Padded Wall Hanging, featuring depiction of the Wayang Kulit Shadow Puppets Figures Rama & Shinta from the Hindu Legend RAMAYANA. Must be very rare item, couldn't find any identical one
Measurements of just the fabric part, 68 x 40 cm. Rear Side is plain black. It is in Prestine Condition.
Presume it is Vintage & Collectible.
If I google it, it is saying hand painted batic on cotton fabric with gold accents. Not sure myself, think it is more a print
Despicts Wayang Kulit, a traditional of shadow puppet Theater originating in Java & Bali.
The Fabric is mounted on 2 solid wooden rods for hanging. Measurements with those 79 x 54 cm
The figures represent the lovers Rama & Shinta ( Sita)
