For sale is a scarce enamelled badge issued by the Lanark (Scotland) Town Council to celebrate the coronation of Queen Elizabeth . The Queen's coronation took place at Westminster Abbey on the 2nd June 1953. This badge displays the Royal Crest and the old style crown.

DESCRIPTION:
Size: about 3/4" x 1 1/8" (19mm x 29mm).
Material(s): brass with 3 vitreous enamels.
Finish: gilt
Fitting: buttonhole stud (horseshoe shaped clasp).
Imprint: LANARK TOWN COUNCIL 1953
Approximate age: 1953
