Working In London in the pipe industry, Roger Perrin settled in Saint-Claude in the 1920s. It first produces metal accessories for pipes, pens and pencils, then the latter two products only, including mechanical parts pens subcontracted to Bic. Around 1949, he left his studio 8 rue Carnot (converted into apartments in the 1960s) for the building adjacent to the south, at 10 and 12 rue Carnot. It was built in the 1920s (around 1924 or 1927) by Eugene Vidaillet, builder and mechanic pipe maker in the plant of 22 and 24 Street Steps to serve as a workshop and garage. It was leased to Coquerel and Fox. -Perrin Elevates the building and installed its machines. Gradually closed his company ceased operations around 1975 and will be liquidated in 1987.
