Pair Brass Plaques tavern scenes
Fine pair of large oval brass plaques. Inspired by the Dutch artist Ostade they show interior tavern scenes in the centre surrounded by various small scenes of rural life including baking, washing clothing, weaving, harvesting and grinding in a windmill. All images are embossed repoussé. Measure 72x52cm. Each plaque has a hook for hanging on the back. Lovely decorative item for a home, restaurant or pub. Highly polished, don’t ever need to be cleaned.
