Original WW1 French M15 Adrian Helmet. Infantry Badge. Original paint & liner. Militaria
Pictured is a M15 Adrian helmet produced by Le Jouet De Paris. The first modern combat helmet in the world, developed in response to high incidences of head wounds within the French Army. This helmet saved the lives of countless frontline troops during the First World War.
These helmets were initially painted 'horizon blue', but were later repainted darker blue to black for camouflage purposes.
This example attached is nice combat helmet displaying honest wear, but with the veteran's plaque unfortunately missing despite it having been attached previously. The interior remains intact & in good condition, with the liner pliable, and not much corrosion.
Overall a great helmet that I have loved to have in my collection.
