Original French industrial safety poster dating from 1949, issued by the Institut National de Sécurité, Paris.
Striking period artwork showing a worker’s hand caught in machinery, with the warning:
“Ouvrez l’œil – La machine ne pardonne pas”
(Keep your eyes open – the machine does not forgive)
Signed SABO and marked HAVAS, Paris and N°003.
Measures approximately 27cm × 21cm.
In very good original condition for its age, with particularly strong, vibrant colours. Some minor age-related marks/wear as shown in the photographs.
A genuine and unusual piece of 1940s French industrial / factory safety advertising, ideal for collectors of vintage posters, industrial memorabilia or occupational safety ephemera.
