​Original 1914-era British Military brass oil bottle. These were standard issue during the Great War for soldiers using the Lee-Enfield SMLE rifle.

​The oiler was designed to be stored inside the trapdoor of the rifle buttstock to ensure the soldier could maintain the weapon in the trenches.

​Size: Approx 95mm long x 18mm diameter

​Markings: Base is clearly stamped with the Broad Arrow (Government Property) and the King’s Crown with inspector code 6R / B.

​Condition:

​Excellent vintage condition with a natural aged patina. The knurled cap screws on and off perfectly. Ideal for any military collector or history enthusiast.
