Decommissioned radio control yacht sold as seen in excellent condition the paint work is pristine year roughly late 1980’s


This is a vintage model sailboat hull, radio-controlled (RC non functional unfortunately ) or display model boat featuring a distinct yellow deck/cabin, a white hull stripe, and a keel with a lead ballast bulb underneath.
The Keel features a deep fin keel with a heavy, streamlined lead ballast bulb at the bottom to keep the yacht stable in higher winds.

The inside electronics are not working, obviously via the picture. This would suit an enthusiast, maybe someone in a yacht sailing club as an ornament or bring back to life.

A brief history:
The Electron was a popular one-design RC sailboat originally designed in New Zealand by the renowned boat designer Des Townson & the following is known about his career Desmond Thomas Townson MNZM (1934–2008) was a self-taught New Zealand yacht designer, boatbuilder, and model maker. Over a 50-year career, he designed 82 different boats—ranging from small rowing dinghies to 72-foot keelboats—and became a central figure in New Zealand sailing history.
