Metropolitan Museum of Art MMA Magnifying Glass & Letter Opener Faux Ivory Set

Vintage Metropolitan Museum of Art / MMA figural magnifying glass and letter opener desk set, made in Korea.

The magnifying glass retains a visible MMA mark to the handle. No clear MMA mark is visible on the letter opener; this piece shows heavier surface wear and abrasion from use.

The handles are faux-ivory / resin rather than being listed as bone or ivory. They feature highly detailed carved-style figural decoration.

Condition: both pieces have visible damage.

The magnifying glass has a broken/damaged sword detail on the handle.
The letter opener has a broken/damaged fish detail on the handle.
There is also normal vintage surface wear and discolouration. The damage is clearly shown in the close-up photographs.
