Mdina Glass Vase, Approx 3 inches, Signed

A beautiful and characterful piece of studio art glass from the Mdina Glass studio, hand-blown on the island of Malta.

This charming globular vase stands just over 3 inches (approx. 8cm) tall and showcases the hallmark Mdina style: a milky white base glass with swirling trails of pink and dramatic dark grey/black. The flared rim is edged in a rich pink.

The form is a classic squat, rounded body with a short neck and wide, gently flared lip — one of the most recognisable and collectible Mdina shapes.

Condition: Very good — no chips, cracks, scratches or repairs. Please see photos for details.

Mdina Glass was established in Malta in 1968 by Michael Harris, formerly of the Royal College of Art. The studio quickly became celebrated for its distinctive use of swirling colour, Mediterranean-inspired palettes, and organic forms. Pieces from the studio are collected worldwide.
