Matching Pair of Mid Victorian Silverplate Table Epergnes
Here is a very special matching pair of mid Victorian silverplate epergnes..These would have taken pride of place at a very wealthy table..with glass bowls sitting on top for serving condiments..They are approximately 8.5 inches tall,5.5 inches across the base and have a combined weight of 3.3kgs..Both have a stamped fleur de lis on the base..one has a very small indistinct initials inside a cartouche..Both also carry the same marks below where the glass bowl will sit..A maker's mark and initials as shown as per photos..They are extremely well cast and very similar examples by Thomas Bradbury have an rrp of 6k plus..Both are in lovely undamaged condition (very slight lifting) and feature a horse and foal on one base and a pair of sheep on the other..Both feature wild vines at their centre..from which foliage and grapes appear abundantly. These really are very much priced to sell..and are life time pieces abd great investments.I will include registered post and very safe packing in the asking price.
