LONDON HAMPSHIRE SOCIETY (compatriot's club) - a finely made antique enamel badge (pre-1910)
Postage is extra.
.
For sale is a scarce antique enamelled badge for the LONDON HAMPSHIRE SOCIETY. The society was established in 1905 and existed into the 1950s, being a club for people from Hampshire and living in London. Many such clubs exusted in London and for compatriots living there.
This badge shows the old Hampshire coat-of-arms, the crown over a Hampshire rose surmounted by a cap. The wording COM SOUTHTON is an abbreviation for the County of Southampshire (Hampshire). Here's something similar on a piece of crested china from the same period - https://www.ebay.ie/itm/365628852792
