Large Vintage Slanted Brass Log Box or Turf Storage Chest

Stunning, large-sized vintage brass fireside log, turf, or coal storage chest on wheels. This is a highly desirable premium model featuring a classic slanted/sloping top lid and beautiful embossed tavern scenes wrapping all the way around the top, front, and sides.

Its generous width makes it extremely practical, holding a substantial amount of firewood, kindling, or briquettes right by the hearth. It is structurally solid, the hinges are perfect, and it sits beautifully flush in a room corner or right next to a stove/fireplace.

Excellent vintage condition with a gorgeous, rich aged patina to the brasswork. Damage to the bottom right hand brasswork as shown in photos. Clean and sturdy throughout, with no major dents or splits. Ready for immediate use.
