Large old reamer for boring wooden water pumps
550 MM long, widest point is 140 mm.
Wooden pump makers used an auger to bore an initial hole, then a series of reamers to enlarge this hole to the required size. Wooden extensions were sometimes used to push the reamer against the outer edge of the hole to increase the bore.
The extension on this reamer has old and inactive woodworm holes. This is the first reamer I have ever seen with the wooden extension still attached.
