Collectible KLM Blue Delft House #44.
Hooglandse Kerkgracht 19, leiden
This KLM house shows only a part of the original complex on which a wide stepped gable from around 1620 can be seen. The building was once part of an orphanage known as the Heilige Geest of arme Wees- en Kinderhuis (Holy Spirit or Poor Orphans’ and Children’s Home). The orphanage, which closed its doors in 1961, has been portrayed in a painting made by Cornelis Springer (1817-1891).
