James Malton Dublin Prints 1790s Lying-In Hospital - Custom House - new GPO Set
Matching set of three late-18th-century hand-coloured Dublin architectural prints after works by James Malton, 1761–1803.
The set comprises:
Lying-in Hospital -
New Post Office - Now the GPO
Custom House
The prints carry original period-style publication inscriptions, including a 1798 publication line on the Lying-in Hospital view. They appear to be antique smaller-format engravings from Malton’s celebrated Dublin series rather than recent decorative reproductions.
Each is presented behind glass in a matching black and gilt-effect frame with burgundy mount.
Antique condition with paper toning, foxing, age spotting and fading. The frames, glass and mounts also show general wear and dust. The prints have not been removed from their frames, so margins, reverse inscriptions and exact printing method have not been fully examined.
Sold together as one matching set.
