For sale is a vintage HIGHER GRADE CORPS CADETS (HG CC) badge issued to trainee Salvation Army Soldiers who passed a certain level of examinations. The Corps is local church area of the Salvation Army and the term "Soldier" means a full member of the Salvation Army.

The SA Corps Cadet program was established in 1896 and is still active worldwide, training young Salvationists for leadership and spiritual service. Corps cadetship is open to young men and women from the age of 13 years.

The Salvation Army (SA) is an international Christian church and charitable organization founded in London in 1865 by William and Catherine Booth. The SA also provides much social and charitable work, operating in some 134 countries worldwide.
