French Cavalry sword
Beautiful antique French cavalry sword model 1822.
This is a lovely sword, 107 cm long with a nice hefty weight in it and a beautifully curved 92cm long blade.
overall in good conditions, very well preserved markings on blade and guard that help dating this to around 1834.
Some pitting on the scabbard and on the blade, but as you'd expect on a sword almost 200 years old - no play in the blade, and overall a beautiful piece of history, great for anyone interested in militaria or history, or simply looking for a great unusual decoration piece to put on a wall.
Asking 350 but all serious offer considered. Collection preferred in Dublin9, but happy to ship at buyers cost (15E nationwide)
