An Edwardian era oak fire surround mantel which features foot blocks and full length pilasters supporting a an overhanging moulded cornice top shelf. Above the fireplace opening is a moulded central shelf supported by two ornate brackets. In between the shelves, the recessed panel has a generously sized rectangular landscaped bevelled edge mirror. The overall piece with its subtle moulded details give an Arts and Crafts look.
The oak surround has been Ebonized and has a rich dark brown, almost black appearance and has been waxed to bring out the grain in the wood.
