Fire guard/table
A charming vintage metamorphic piece that works as both a fire screen and a side table. The top tilts up to stand as a decorative screen in front of the fireplace and folds down flat for use as a table.
The panel shows a pair of pheasants among peonies and blossom in soft blues, pinks and golds, protected under glass, in a dark wooden frame on trestle legs with a stretcher.
It's in good vintage condition, with general wear to the finish, some marks, and a slightly open joint at one corner of the frame. The glass is intact.
