For sale is a scarce vintage enamel badge issued by the FAIR ORGAN PRESERVATION SOCIETY (FOPS). This badge shows a stylised fairground organ frame.
FOPS was established in 1957 and continue to be a "society dedicated to the appreciation and preservation of the fairground organ, and other related mechanical instruments, and their music". FOPS have members worldwide and publish a quarterly journal called The Key Frame.

DESCRIPTION:
Size: about 7/8" diameter (22mm).
Material(s): diecast metal alloy with 2 vitreous enamels.
Finish: gilt wash (very thin coating).
Fitting: pin.
Imprint: none
Approximate age: 1970's to 1980's
CONDITION:
Very good condition. No damage. Pin in working order. Some wear to the gilt wash about the lettering.
