Fabulous Rembrandt's The Night Watch Vintage Hinged Biscuit Tin with a Raised Relief Reproduction of the Famous Painting, Attributed to the Victoria Biscuit Company of Holland

I am continuing my effort to downsize, as I unfortunately have to replace the engine in the family car! I'm making progress but more items need to go!

I have quite the selection of collectable tins of all shapes and sizes which I have collected over the years and used and displayed, but I have too much for my current needs so I have a few that must go!

For sale here is a Fabulous Rembrandt's "The Night Watch” Vintage Hinged Biscuit Tin with a Raised Relief Reproduction of the Famous Painting, Attributed to the Victoria Biscuit Company of Holland, N.V. Biscuitgabriek Victoria - Dordrecht-Holland

These were produced in the 1950’s in Holland for the Victoria Biscuit company, but this may be a later example, I cannot tell for certain. It doesn’t have the maker’s stamp on the bottom, and any sticker that may have been there is now missing, but it does have the rust and patina of a vintage piece. They make between €60 and €80 online, Etsy and Ebay, so this one is very well priced.

Condition-wise it has some degree of tarnish, patina, rust spots, fading, scuffs and scratches as would be expected of a tin from the 1950’s. The lid is hinged, and working well.

It measures 12 inches/30.5 cm by 9 inches/23 cm at the front, and stands 2.75 inches/7cm tall.

Being just larger than A4 size, this would be a great holding paperwork.
