Exceptional Pair of Art Deco Czech Tango Glass Vases. c.1928 to1933

A superb and increasingly collectible pair of original Art Deco Czech Tango glass vases, dating from approximately 1928–1933.

These elegant satin yellow Tango glass vases are beautifully hand decorated with an exceptionally rare polychrome enamel design featuring geometric Art Deco motifs, multicoloured enamel dots and fine black detailing. The decoration is far more elaborate than the standard Tango pieces commonly encountered and gives the pair a striking jewellery-like appearance.

Following extensive research, these vases are believed to originate from Northern Bohemia (Czechoslovakia) during the golden age of Czech Art Deco glass.

The leading Czech research database for Bohemian glass recognises that many Tango pieces from this period cannot yet be conclusively separated between the Antonín Rückl & Sons and Wilhelm Kralik Söhne factories because surviving factory records remain incomplete. It also documents Rückl’s Tango production and painted decorative programmes from this period.
