For sale are two Channel Tunnel promotional button badges. The Euro Tunnel badge is quite large, measuring almost 3" in diameter. Both badges commemorate the newly opened Channel Tunnel that provided the first ever fixed transport link (rail only) between England and the European continent (France).

Construction on the Channel Tunnel began in 1988 and was a joint cooperation between Britain and France. Boring of the tunnel commenced from both ends and mett about halfway under the English Channel, completed in 1990. The official opening the Channel Tunnel took place on the 6th May 1994.

The LE TUNNELL badge shows a representation of the Elizabeth Tower (Big Ben tower) and the Eiffel Tower, along with images of the British Eurostar locomotive and another locomotive (?).

The EURO TUNNEL badge depicts the Groupe Eurotunnel company's logo. The Groupe Eurotunnel is a European public company based in Paris that manages and operates the infrastructure of the Channel Tunnel between England and France. It also operates the Eurotunnel Shuttle train service as well as earning revenue from other trains that operate through the tunnel. Groupe Eurotunnel was renamed GETLINK in 2017.
