For sale is a vintage, highly collectible mid-century German hunting / utility boot knife manufactured by the renowned cutlery makers C. Friedr. Ern in Solingen, Germany. This piece dates back to the post-WWII commercial era (circa 1950s–1960s).

Stylized to mimic classic historical German dagger profiles, this is actually a single-edged utility knife featuring a factory-ground top swedge (false edge) that gives the blade a sleek, symmetrical silhouette.

Maker Mark: Tang stamp clearly reads "SOLINGEN " at the base of the blade.

Grip Motif: Beautifully detailed handle features a molded inlay depicting an eagle fighting a snake.

Handle Material: Contoured black Bakelite / hard composite plastic grip with a distinct dual-quillon metallic crossguard and matching pommel cap.

Sheath Included: Comes complete with its original black leather boot sheath featuring distinct red contrast stitching and steel rivet reinforcements.
