Encyclopaedia Britannica Great Books of the Western World collection

Large collection of 53 volumes of Encyclopaedia Britannica’s Great Books of the Western World.

This is the classic 54-volume edition, edited by Robert Maynard Hutchins, published by Encyclopaedia Britannica.

The books are the 29th printing, 1987, as confirmed by the copyright pages.

The collection includes Volumes 1–53 and is in very good overall condition, with many volumes still protected in their original plastic.

Authors and works represented include Plato, Aristotle, Herodotus, Thomas Aquinas, Shakespeare, Newton, Darwin, Tolstoy, Dostoevsky, Machiavelli, William James and many others.

Please note: Volume 54 (Sigmund Freud) is not included, so this is a 53-volume collection from the 54-volume series.

The books have been kept together and would make an impressive home library or study collection.
