Early 20th Century Automotive Glass Jar.
Rare early 20th century French automotive glass jar with original cork lid.
Features a colourful illustrated label with early motor car and the slogan “Changement de vitesses progressif” (progressive gear change), referencing early gearbox technology from the pioneering days of motoring.
These jars were typically used in garages or workshops and would have originally contained lubricants, grease or mechanical compounds for maintaining early vehicles.
Approx. 14cm high x 10cm diameter.
Condition:
* Original label in very good condition for age
* Light wear and age-related marks to glass
* Original cork stopper present
A great and quite early piece of automobilia, ideal for collectors or display.
