An exceptional and documented example of mid-century Italian art glass produced by Vetreria Artigiana Sanminiatello (V.A.S.), Montelupo, Italy.

This impressive 40cm hand-blown vase is the documented V.A.S. Shape G/20S, featuring a vibrant orange cased glass body with three sweeping hand-applied glass ribs flowing into a sculptural tripod base.

The dramatic flared rim, rich cased colour and organic applied decoration are characteristic of the finest Empoli production of the late 1950s and early 1960s.

Condition

Excellent vintage condition.

There is one small flake chip to the underside edge of one tripod foot. It is completely hidden when the vase is standing and does not affect stability or display. There are no cracks or repairs.
