For sale is a very scarce resident camper's badge issued by the DEVON COAST COUNTRY CLUB holiday camp at Paignton in Devon.

The Devon Coast Country Club was a Butlins-styled holiday camp at Smallcombe Road in Paignton, Devon. The camp may have opened sometime in the 1930’s and during the early years of WW2 was used as an internment camp for "enemy aliens" (Austrian, German, Italian and Communists). After the war in 1947, the Devon Coast Country Club reopened as a holiday camp.

In the 1970’s, the Devon Coast Country Club was purchased by Ladbroke Holidays and changed ownership again when it was sold to Shearing Coach Holidays Ltd (Pleasurama). By the 1990’s Shearing’s decided to close the camp and by July 1994 planning permission had been granted to redevelop the camp site. The holiday camp closed in October 1994 and is now a housing estate.
