Set of two plate magazines with a metal case for the DP28 machine gun.

Original Soviet production from World War II or before the war. After defeats on the front, the production of metal cases was quickly abandoned in favor of canvas cases – cheaper, easier to produce, and less material-intensive. After World War II, production of metal slings was discontinued, while canvas slings continued to be produced (including in Poland).

The magazines offered are from Finnish Army surplus – captured from the Soviet Army during the Winter War and the Continuation War. In total, the Finns captured approximately 3,400 DP28 rifles. These rifles were accepted into service with the Finnish Army – their number in service exceeded the number of LS26 machine guns they possessed. Due to such a large number, VKT (Valtion Kivääritehdas) began producing spare parts and magazines for this weapon.
