A collection of 35 gauge model railway rolling stock items manufactured by Hornby Dublo and Lima, United Kingdom and Italy, dating from the mid-20th century.
The collection includes:
A selection of die-cast metal freight wagons by Hornby Dublo. This group includes a grey Weltrol MV low-loader wagon, with the baseplate bearing the impressed marks HORNBY DUBLO, MADE IN ENGLAND, and MECCANO LTD. Also included are two grey Bogie Bolster wagons marked M 720550 30T and various other open and goods wagons.
A series of passenger coaches, featuring several blue and white Inter-City liveried coaches and a green coach marked GUARD S 34938. One maroon coach marked M 25264 is presented in its original Lima models cardboard and acetate window box, which bears the red and blue Lima logo.
An assortment of private owner freight wagons and tankers in various liveries. The tankers include a yellow Shell Lubricating Oil example and a green petrol tanker marked POWER. Freight wagons include a green Prime Pork cattle van with a pig graphic, a yellow United Glass Bottle Manufacturers wagon, a black and red Puch and Co London coal wagon, and two brown wagons marked BRICK EMPTY TO FLETTON.
A further group of miscellaneous rolling stock including a red hopper wagon, grey goods vans such as a G W Saltney van, and several brake vans. The items feature a mix of rotating metal and plastic wheels with standard hook-and-loop or tension-lock couplings.
