A matching pair of genuine antique Japanese Meiji period (late 19th / early 20th century) miniature vases. They feature lovely high-relief details of cranes and chrysanthemums. These were made for the European export market, cast from metal (spelter/zinc alloy) and finished with a bronze/copper-toned outer coating. Unmarked bases.

Condition Note (Please Read):
Both vases show heavy signs of age and wear. There are visible chips and missing metal chunks along the top rims from old knocks. Additionally, the outer bronze finish is rubbing off and flaking on the main body, exposing the grey base metal underneath (please check all close-up photos). Priced cheaply to reflect this condition. Ideal for a rustic look or a restoration project.
