For sale are six different button badges dating from the 1970's through to the early 1990's.

1) The Dinosaurs with Father Christmas and Uncle Holly at SELFRIDGES
Selfridges were famous for their impressive window displays each Christmas and held a similar themed exhibition inside with special children's events. This badge would originally have been for sale at the Dinosaurs at Selfridges (c.1990).

2) HUMPTY DUMPTY CLUB
The Humpty Dumpty Club was a postal-order book club for young children. On joining the club, this membership badge would have been sent as part of the club pack (1980's).

3) SLIM 'n' SHINE WITH BREAKFAST TIME (BBC television) c.1983
Slim 'n' Shine with Breakfast was part of the BBC 1 program Breakfast Time that was first broadcast from December 1983. The slimming section was presented by Audery Eyton. This badge was issued during 1983 and 1984.

SOLD 28/9/2022 - SATURDAY SHAKE-UP
Tyne-Tees TV Saturday children's show 1979 to 1981. The morning show’s format consisted mainly of interviews with celebrities, pop bands, cartoons, children’s programs, etc. The show’s presenters were Alastair Pirrie and Christine Anderson.

DESCRIPTION:
Sizes: about 2 3/16" (55mm) diameter & about 1 1/2" diameter (38mm).
Material(s): steel body with printed paper insert .
Finish: insert printed lithography & laminated. Reverse side with a tin wash (very thin coating) or plastic backing.
Fittings: D-pin or safety pin.
Approximate age: 1970's to 1980's.

CONDITION:
Excellent condition. No damage. Pins in working order. Tin wash worn, as is usual with older button badges.
