Chinese Porcelain & White Metal Vase 19th Century CHINA Mark
Antique Chinese White Metal / pewter wall or sedan chair flat back vase.
Chinese White Metal / pewter wall (or sedan chair) “flat back” baluster vase. Inset with enamelled decoration of a gnarled pine tree with a pink peony flower on a turquoise-blue background. What appears to be a caterpillar like animal at the base of the tree.
Extremely well hand painted
Stamped mark “China” and of the 1900 to the Chinese Republic period.
Height 17 x 10 x 2.7
Some small dents and scratches consistent with the soft metal.
