A fantastic piece of local Derbyshire history! This antique/vintage open double-handled sugar bowl (or condiment holder) features a crisp stamped imprint reading "BLACKSHAW CHESTERFIELD" on the front.
Blackshaw & Sons were famous bakers, confectioners, and café proprietors in Chesterfield, England, operating a beloved town-center café until the late 1930s. Brought to America in the early 1940s
Condition: This piece has a wonderful, authentic patina showing its history in a busy commercial café. There is heavy surface tarnish, wear to the silver plating revealing the warm nickel/brass base metal underneath, and signs of use as shown in photos. Perfect for collectors of local history, advertising memorabilia, or antique commercial hotelware.
