Carnival Glass Hen
An absolutely remarkable piece in great condition is this rare Sowerby marigold carnival glass hen on a nest lidded dish and features iridescent colors.
The piece is made in two parts, with the hen as the lid and the nest as the base.
These dishes were produced by Sowerby’s Ellison Glass Works during the 1920s and early 1930s using older cast iron molds.
It measures approximately 8 inches long and 5 3/4 inches wide, total height is at 5 3/4 inches.
