Vintage Mid-Century Tilley DN250 Paraffin / Kerosene Pressure Iron – Made in England

​Up for sale is a iconic piece of mid-century British engineering: a vintage Tilley Model DN250 paraffin pressure iron. Produced in the 1950s, these irons were designed to run on pressurized kerosene using an integrated pump and fuel reservoir inside the rear globe, allowing off-grid ironing before electricity was standard everywhere.

​Manufacturer: Tilley Lamp Co., England (stamped MODEL D.N. 250 - MADE IN ENGLAND on the base plate frame).

​Design: Cream/ivory enamel body with a sleek black Bakelite-style ergonomic top handle.

​Original Components: Features the intact green control knob (ON TILLEY OFF), brass pump plunger, and heavy chrome-plated soleplate.
