For sale are two button badge, each of 38mm (1 1/2") diameter.

1) AJAX 25th ANNIVERSARY 1955 - 1980
The town of Ajax in Ontario, Canada is now a growing suburb of Toronto. It was renamed Ajax in honour of the Royal Navy's HMS Ajax which took part in the WW2 Battle of the River Plate against the German Graf Spee. Ajax became a municipal town with its own town council from 1st January 1955 and this badge was issued in 1980 to commemorate the town's 25th anniversary. A scarce badge.

2) STAINFORTH SKI CENTRE, ALDERSHOT (1990's)
This promotional badge issued by the Stainforth Ski Centre of Aldershot in Hampshire. The ski centre provides facilities and training in skiing to all levels as well as snowboarding on their dry ski slopes. The centre is still active.

DESCRIPTION:
Size: about 1 /2" diameter (38mm).
Material(s): steel body & plastic body with printed paper insert under a clear cellulose laminate. Ajax insert printed flexogaphy in 2 colours and Stainforth Ski Centre printed lithography in 4 colours.

Approximate age: 1980's & 1990's

CONDITION:
Very good condition. No damage. Pins in working order. There is a very fine crack in the cellulose covering on the Stainforth Ski badge about the 10 o/c to the 11 o/c position, but only noticeable under close examination.
