BUTLINS PWLLHELI 1963 (holiday camp, Wales) - resident camper's enamel badge
Postage is extra.
.
For sale is a 1963 resident camper's badge issued by the Butlin's holiday camp at Pwllheli in Wales. Pwllheli issued a series of attractively designed badges continuously from 1947 until 1967.
Butlin’s holiday camp at Pwllheli in Gwynedd, Wales opened in 1947 with a capacity for 5,000 campers and this was later increased to 8,000. In 1987 the camp was renamed Starcoast World when it was acquired by the Rank Organisation, who also invested heavily to improve and bring its facilities up to-date. In 1998 ownership was transferred to Haven, a sister company of Butlins and renamed Hafyn-y-môr (Haven by the Sea). Sadly, the holiday camp attractions there were removed some years later and is now a caravan site for holidaymakers.
All my Butlin's badges for sale are guaranteed as being genuine originals.
