For sale is a 1963 resident camper's badge issued by the Butlin's holiday camp at Minehead in Somerset. The Minehead holiday camp was opened in 1962 and was the largest of the Butlin’s post-war holiday camps. Butlins Minehead, like the others, issued their own design of resident camper badges annually from 1962 to 1967.

Butlins Minehead underwent major refurbishments during the late 1980's and the persistent problems with flooding were fixed and in 1987 the holiday camp was rebranded as Somerset World. Following completion of the 1998/1999 redevelopment, the Somerset World name was dropped and the Butlin name revived, now rebranded as Butlin's Resort Somerset. The holiday camp at Minehead was only one of three selected to become a Butlin's resort. Further major developments took place in 2007 with the addition of new luxury timeshare apartments known as BlueSkies. Today, the resort is still active and known as Butlin's Resort Minehead.
