For sale is a vintage ice-curling Bonspiel badge issued in conjunction with the 1954 British Empire Games (BEG) that took place in Vancouver from the 30th July to the 7th of August. Although curling is a winter sport played on ice and there is no mention of curling as an event in the BEG of that year, this badge may have been issued to promote the sport as part of an exhibition tournament? The 1954 BEG were attended by 24 nations and 662 competitors.

The badge displays implements of the sport, a curling stone and a pair of crossed brooms. The word 'Bonspiel' is a curling term for a tournament.
