For sale is a very scarce to rare membership lapel badge issued by the BRITISH CARAVANNERS CLUB (BCC). This badge shows the BCC logo introduced in July 1954 to commemorate their 21st anniversary.

The BCC was established in 1933 (15th July 1933) as an offshoot of The Camping Club of Great Britain & Ireland to accommodate the growing popularity of touring caravans and caravanning. In 1983, the BCC was renamed as the Camping & Caravanning Club.

DESCRIPTION:
Size: about 11/16" x 7/16" (17mm x 11mm).
Material(s): brass metal with 1 enamel.
Finish: tin plated.
Fitting: buttonhole fitting (horseshoe shaped clasp).
Imprint: J. R. GAUNT LONDON
Approximate age: mid to late 1950's.
